The well-known Open Source large model platform Hugging Face is entering the Bots field.

On April 16, Jin10 reported that on April 15 local time, Hugging Face, one of the world’s leading Open Source large model platforms, announced the acquisition of Pollen Robotics, entering the field of physical robots. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed, but approximately 20 employees from Pollen will join Hugging Face. Thomas Wolf, co-founder and Chief Scientist of Hugging Face, stated that the Open Source model is at the core of the company’s AI large model library and will also be key to the robot strategy. This acquisition brings about 20 employees from Pollen Robotics to Hugging Face, marking the largest acquisition in terms of personnel size to date.
