The World Economic Forum (WEF) is a globally influential convening institution for policymakers and industry leaders, and has now appointed BlackRock CEO Larry Fink as interim co-chair. Previously, the World Economic Forum had just conducted a highly anticipated internal review, clarifying the misconduct of founder Klaus Schwab, and laying the groundwork for a temporary leadership restructuring of the organization as it adjusts its governance model.

BlackRock manages trillions of dollars in assets and has a significant influence on financial markets, ESG policies, and investment strategies of governments and corporations. Fink’s interim appointment is a strategic move expected to accelerate the institutional adoption of digital assets like Bitcoin in global policy forums and mainstream financial infrastructure.
