The decentralized map project Bee Maps has completed a $32 million financing round, led by Pantera Capital and others.

BlockBeats news, on October 6, according to CoinDesk, the decentralized mapping project Bee Maps (supported by Hivemapper technology) announced that it has completed a new round of financing of $32 million, led by Pantera Capital, LDA Capital, Borderless Capital, and Ajna Capital. Bee Maps is an application running on the Hivemapper network. Hivemapper is one of the largest decentralized physical infrastructure networks in the world based on Solana, focusing on building map data. Hivemapper allows drivers to contribute data through AI-equipped dashcams that can detect road changes in real-time (such as new road signs, detours, construction areas, etc.), ensuring that digital maps can be quickly updated and remain accurate. Bee Maps leverages this infrastructure to incentivize users to upload street-level image data, rewarding them with its native Token HONEY.
