Odaily Planet Daily News: The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projects a deficit of $1.9 trillion in 2026, roughly unchanged from 2025, and states that higher revenues from Trump’s tariffs will reduce the deficit by $3 trillion over 10 years. By the fiscal year 2036, the budget deficit is expected to reach $3.115 trillion, accounting for 6.7% of GDP. The average deficit from fiscal year 2027 to 2036 is projected to be 6.1% of GDP. The Republican tax cuts law of 2025 is expected to increase the U.S. deficit by $4.7 trillion over 10 years, and reduced immigration will add $500 billion to the deficit. (Jin10)
