The three major A-share indices opened higher and closed higher today. By the close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 1.41%, the Shenzhen Component Index increased 2.17%, the ChiNext Index gained 2.98%, and the Beijing 50 Index rose 1.36%. The combined trading volume of the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets was 22.702 trillion yuan, an increase of 106.7 billion yuan compared to the previous day. Over 4,600 stocks across the three markets rose.
In terms of sectors and themes, the WenSheng Video, optical fiber, dye, photovoltaic, CPO, cultivated diamonds, computing power leasing, semiconductors, commercial aerospace, and smart grid sectors led the gains; oil and gas extraction and services, and gas sectors performed slightly behind.
On the market, ByteDance recently released Seedance 2.0, boosting the WenSheng Video sector, with stocks like Chinese Online and Fengyu Zhu hitting the daily limit. Optical fiber, CPO, and other computing hardware stocks maintained strength throughout the day, with Longfei Optical Fiber hitting the daily limit and reaching new highs.
Affected by rising dye prices, the dye sector surged, with RunTu Shares and Jihua Group hitting the daily limit. Elon Musk’s bet on the space photovoltaic track caused related industry chains to soar, with more than 20 stocks including TCL Zhonghuan and Yamaton hitting the daily limit.
Additionally, sectors such as computing power leasing, commercial aerospace, and semiconductors showed multiple gains. On the other hand, the oil and gas extraction and services sector performed slightly behind, with stocks like Tongyuan Petroleum and QianNeng HengXin declining. However, overall, the market saw more stocks rising than falling.
