Foresight News on-site report: Jennifer Ilkiw, President of ICE Futures U.S., a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange, stated at Consensus 2026 that they have partnered with CoinDesk Indices to launch seven cryptocurrency cash-settled futures on the ICE market, including Ethereum, Solana, XRP, BNB, and multi-token indices CoinDesk 5 and CoinDesk 20 futures. The ICE CoinDesk BNB futures is the first BNB futures contract launched by a regulated U.S. exchange. Currently, ProShares has listed the CoinDesk 20 ETF in New York, and Arc Investments plans to launch related products within the next two to three months.
In addition, both parties also plan to launch a USDC contract based on CoinDesk’s overnight rate (CDOR) in April, aiming to provide a rate risk management tool similar to SOFR for the cryptocurrency market. This contract will monitor lending network rates and have CoinDesk calculate the relevant index.

The once lively crypto scene has long become a distant memory at a bar. Narratives have failed one after another, projects are accelerating their cleanup, token prices remain under pressure, liquidity continues to flee, and the difficulty of startups keeps rising. The trend of a crypto winter seems difficult to reverse.

The protagonist of this lengthy article is Cedric, the founder of the token issuance platform Flap Protocol (Butterfly). Recently, PANews interviewed Cedric, who shared the original intention behind writing this viral article and revisited the real entrepreneurial journey of a grassroots team that abandoned impatience, focused on PMF (Product-Market Fit), and ultimately achieved growth in a sluggish market.

Solana's ultra-low transaction fees comparison released: surpassing Base, BNB, and Polygon, becoming the preferred execution layer for high-frequency DeFi.
The latest on-chain fee comparison data shows that in mid-January 2026, among mainstream blockchain networks, Solana's median transaction fee ranks second lowest, only behind Avalanche, and is significantly lower than high-transaction-volume networks like Base, BNB Chain, Polygon, and Arbitrum. This result further highlights Solana's structural advantages in high throughput and low-cost execution layers.
From a data structure perspective, Solana's fee curve has long been at the bottom of the logarithmic coordinate chart, indicating that its low fees are not a temporary phenomenon but are determined by its underlying architecture. The network's design, which features parallel execution and high TPS, allows it to absorb traffic spikes during increased transaction demand, unlike rollup-dependent networks that shift the pressure into higher per-transaction costs.
