Abstract generation in progress

On February 4th, Zhu Weidong, Deputy Director of the Central Financial Office and Deputy Director of the Central Rural Work Office, stated at the State Council Information Office press conference that this year’s No. 1 Central Document places great importance on increasing farmers’ income and proposes a package of income-increasing measures. Among them is the development and expansion of county-level prosperous industries. Zhu Weidong pointed out that industrial prosperity is the material foundation of rural revitalization and an important channel for farmers’ income growth. Support should be given to localities to rely on their unique resources to develop distinctive county economies, promoting integrated development of thriving industries, strong counties, and wealth for farmers; at the same time, industrial project planning should be strengthened to prevent homogenization and “involution” competition. Additionally, efforts should be made to enhance integration, diversify industrial forms, extend the industrial chain, and expand the value chain.
