Danantara Indonesia has initiated a large-scale merger and consolidation program for State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in 2026, aiming to reduce the number of SOEs to 300 significant entities. This streamlining effort targets major groups like PT Telkom Indonesia, PT Semen Indonesia, PT Pupuk Indonesia, and the state-owned insurance sector, intended to enhance efficiency and competitiveness. Additionally, all BUMN asset management businesses will be combined, and 21 logistics companies will merge into Danantara Logistic Company, with PT Pos Indonesia acting as the anchor.
