IT House, February 11 — GF Securities stock analyst Jeff Pu stated that Apple plans to keep the starting prices of the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max the same as the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

In a research report obtained today by MacRumors, Pu mentioned that his team’s recent supply chain research indicates Apple is focusing on cost control, aiming to keep the starting prices of the iPhone 18 Pro series unchanged or roughly the same as the iPhone 17 Pro series.

In the Chinese market, the starting price of the iPhone 17 Pro is 8,999 yuan, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max starts at 9,999 yuan.

Pu believes that amid the significant increase in DRAM and NAND storage chip prices, Apple has been negotiating with Samsung and SK Hynix to secure more favorable memory chip procurement prices. He also expects Apple to reduce costs for other core iPhone components such as displays and cameras through other means.

IT House notes that another analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, also pointed out that Apple’s plan for the iPhone 18 Pro series is to avoid price increases as much as possible. He predicts that Apple will at least keep the starting price consistent with the iPhone 17 Pro series.

The iPhone 18 Pro series is expected to be announced in September.
