On February 8th Eastern Time, Tesla (TSLA.US) CEO Elon Musk posted on the social platform X stating that Tesla Semi trucks will begin mass production this year.
That day, Musk reposted a message noting that Bill Gates had visited Tesla’s Gigafactory in Texas and directly told Musk, “It’s impossible to make a semi-truck with long-range capabilities, it’s not feasible.” Elon responded at the time, “We do have such a vehicle. Just try driving one yourself and you’ll see. Pepsi is already using it.”
The post states that now, Tesla semi-trucks are delivering goods for one of the largest companies on Earth, with a range of over 425 miles.
