Sohu's 2025 revenue reaches $584 million, significantly reducing losses by nearly 40%

Shanghai Securities News China Securities Journal News (Reporter Wen Ting) On February 9, Sohu announced its unaudited financial report for the fourth quarter and full year of 2025, ending December 31, 2025. For the full year of 2025, the company’s total revenue reached $584 million, with a non-GAAP net loss of $51 million after excluding the impact of tax provisions related to Changyou, representing a nearly 40% reduction compared to a loss of $83 million in 2024.

According to the company’s previously announced share repurchase plan with a maximum total amount of $150 million for American depositary shares (ADS), as of February 5, 2026, Sohu has repurchased 81 million ADSs, totaling approximately $106 million.

The financial report shows that in the fourth quarter of 2025, Sohu achieved revenue of $142 million, a 6% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Among this, marketing services revenue was $17 million, and online gaming revenue was $120 million. For the full year of 2025, Sohu achieved total revenue of $584 million, with $60 million from marketing services and $506 million from online gaming.

Sohu Chairman and CEO Zhang Chaoyang stated, “In the fourth quarter of 2025, our marketing services revenue exceeded expectations, and online gaming revenue met expectations. Excluding the impact of tax provisions related to Changyou, the group’s non-GAAP net loss reached the best forecast previously.”
