Movements in CDMX: Complete Guide to Road Closures and Affected Hours

In Mexico City, protests will continue throughout the weekend, with an intense schedule of demonstrations, blockades, and marches that will significantly impact vehicle traffic. According to the records of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC), there are expected to be a march, 10 demonstrations, blockades, and 2 marches at different points across the capital, so it is essential to know the exact times and locations to plan your travel.

Demonstrations and Blockades: Which Streets Will Be Affected in the City

The mobilizations in CDMX will be distributed throughout the day according to the following schedule:

Starting at 09:00 AM, gatherings are expected in two areas: in the Selene neighborhood, Tláhuac borough (Montes Cáucaso and Océano de las Tempestades No. 60, in front of the Holy Spirit Parish and Our Lady of Fátima) and in Iztapalapa (Anillo Periférico Canal de Garay and Eje 6 Sur Av. Luis Méndez, Chinampac de Juárez neighborhood).

At 10:00 AM, three different locations will host activities: the Franciscan Refuge A.C. in Cuajimalpa (Carretera México-Toluca Km. 17.5, Lomas de Vista Hermosa); the headquarters of Section IX of the National Coordinator of Education Workers in Cuauhtémoc (Belisario Domínguez No. 32, Downtown); and the Comprehensive Attention Center for Search of People, also in Cuauhtémoc (Av. Niños Héroes No. 130, Doctors).

At noon (12:00 PM), two historic squares will gather protesters: Tlaxcoaque Square in the Downtown (Av. Fray Servando Teresa de Mier and Tlaxcoaque, Cuauhtémoc) and San Carlos Square (Ignacio Mariscal and Miguel Ramos Arizpe, Tabacalera, Cuauhtémoc).

At 1:00 PM, activity will be recorded in the Granjas México neighborhood, Iztacalco (Av. Río Churubusco and Añil).

At 2:00 PM, two emblematic city spaces will host gatherings: Francisco Primo de Verdad and Ramos Park (Rinconada de Jesús and Av. José María Pino Suárez, Downtown, Cuauhtémoc) and the Angel of Independence (Paseo de la Reforma and Florencia, Juárez, Cuauhtémoc).

Throughout the day, there will also be activity concentrated at the Ministry of Government, located at Plaza de la Constitución No. 1, Historic Center, Cuauhtémoc.

Scheduled Marches: Times and Meeting Points

Vehicle caravans or marches as a form of protest will complete the schedule of mobilizations in CDMX:

At 8:00 PM, a march will depart from Francisco I. Madero Recreational Park in Venustiano Carranza (Av. Circunvalación and Tapicería, Morelos neighborhood).

At 8:30 PM, a second march will take place in the eastern commercial zone of the capital, starting from Súper Plaza La Viga (Calz. de la Viga No. 1150, Apatlaco, Iztapalapa).
