Indonesia's stainless steel net exports in December 2025 decreased by 5.5% year-on-year

In December 2025, Indonesia’s stainless steel exports were approximately 372,600 tons, a decrease of 16,900 tons or 4.3% month-over-month, and a decrease of 10,900 tons or 2.8% year-over-year. Imports were about 37,400 tons, an increase of 200 tons or 0.6% month-over-month, and an increase of 8,500 tons or 29.3% year-over-year. Net exports were approximately 335,200 tons, a decrease of 17,100 tons or 4.9% month-over-month, and a decrease of 19,400 tons or 5.5% year-over-year. From January to December 2025, Indonesia’s cumulative stainless steel exports were about 4.718 million tons, a decrease of 0.59 million tons or 0.1% year-over-year. Cumulative imports were approximately 346,500 tons, an increase of 14,700 tons or 4.4% year-over-year. Net exports totaled 4.3715 million tons, a decrease of 2.06 million tons or 0.5% year-over-year.
