On the morning of February 11, gold, silver, and crude oil prices surged sharply. As of the time of writing, spot gold is at $5,046 per ounce, up 0.37%; spot silver is at $81.449 per ounce, up 0.86%; WTI crude oil is at $64.3 per barrel, up 0.53%.

In the news, U.S. President Trump has once again applied pressure on Iran! Trump stated that he is considering, if negotiations with Iran fail to produce results, to send another U.S. aircraft carrier strike group to the Middle East to prepare for possible military action.

Earlier, a U.S. official who wished to remain anonymous said that the U.S. Navy’s Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group has entered the responsibility zone of the U.S. Central Command in the Western Indian Ocean. If the White House orders an attack on Iran, theoretically, this carrier strike group could launch military action within one or two days.

Trump expects the second round of talks with Iran to take place next week. He emphasized that any agreement with Iran must not only include nuclear issues but also address Iran’s ballistic missile program. He added, “We can reach a very good deal with Iran.”

Last night, in the U.S. stock market, the three major indices closed with mixed results on the 10th, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average continuing to hit new highs. On the market, most large tech stocks declined. Google fell over 1%, Nvidia dropped 0.79%, and Apple declined 0.34%.

Most Chinese concept stocks rose, with the Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index up 0.87%. Hesai Technology rose over 6%, and stocks like Ares Solar, Tencent Music, rose over 3%. Alibaba, Li Auto, rose over 2%, while Xpeng Motors, NIO, and JD.com increased over 1%.
