The Egyptian House of Representatives held an emergency full session on the 10th, approving 22 candidates nominated by President Sisi to join the cabinet, of whom 13 became new ministers. On the same day, Sisi met with Prime Minister Madbouly to discuss the cabinet reshuffle. According to Egypt’s official “Al-Ahram Online” website, the cabinet reshuffle plan includes appointing Hossam Eisa as Deputy Prime Minister responsible for economic affairs, as well as establishing new departments and merging or splitting some existing ones. For example, a new Ministry of Information will be established, the Ministry of Local Development and the Ministry of Environment will be merged, and the department responsible for industry and transportation will be split into two independent departments. Additionally, related departments will be merged to form the “Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Immigration,” with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty serving as minister. The Egyptian Presidential Palace issued a statement saying that Sisi emphasized that the new government should fulfill new responsibilities aligned with the goals of this cabinet reshuffle, aiming to achieve concrete objectives in key areas such as national security, diplomacy, economic development, energy, food security, and social development.
