Nothing is truly learned on paper. After reading most investment books, I realized there are many issues when actually applying them. Investing feels more like a practical science. In 2024, my first year, I mainly focused on convertible bonds, with a return of about 10%. In 2025, my second year, I mainly focused on special treatment (ST) stocks, also with about a 10% return. In 2026, my third year, I am still mainly focusing on ST stocks. During this period, I made several mistakes—many of which turned out to be fatal in hindsight. Luckily, I avoided losses, and overall, my direction was probably correct.
Learning without reflection is futile. I’m starting this post to record my experiences. People tend to be lazy, so I force myself to review and think critically, aiming to connect insights and reduce the frequency of the same or similar mistakes, thereby decreasing gambling tendencies and luck-based thinking.
Refining a system through practice. Currently, in organizing my ideas, I feel there are no major gaps or logical contradictions. However, I am still strengthening my approach to selecting directions. When it comes to specific trading systems, I lack maturity—especially in entry and exit points, position management, and other aspects. I am not yet familiar with various trading strategies and have stepped into many pitfalls. I hope to continuously improve, and recording reviews is a good way to do so.
There is always something to learn from others. One’s perspective is limited, and it’s easy to become emotional. The breadth and speed of information acquisition, as well as the depth of interpretation, are all constrained. I sincerely want to hear everyone’s opinions and suggestions.
