On February 11, Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (SMIC) Co-CEO Zhao Haijun stated at the earnings conference that the Q4 of 2025 will not be a slow season. The company achieved total sales revenue of $2.489 billion, a quarter-over-quarter increase of 4.5%, with wafer revenue increasing by 1.5% quarter-over-quarter. Both the number of wafers sold and the average selling price saw slight growth, and other income increased by 64% quarter-over-quarter, mainly due to concentrated mask shipments at the end of the year. Based on the addition of 16,000 pieces of 12-inch capacity in the quarter, the company’s capacity utilization rate remained at 95.7%. The utilization rate of 8-inch wafers was overall over full capacity, and 12-inch wafers were close to full capacity, mainly due to the ongoing effects of industry chain switching and iteration.
