The market only has some small-volume inquiries driven by immediate needs, and trading in the pulp market has slowed down. As of February 3, the average price of imported coniferous pulp in China was 5,296.73 yuan per ton, down 0.52% compared to the end of last month. Downstream buyers lack confidence in post-holiday orders, and their enthusiasm for raw material stocking is weak. Additionally, recently, the main contract prices of pulp on the Shanghai Futures Exchange have remained weak, increasing market caution. As stockpiling wraps up before the holiday, demand lacks support, and pulp prices may remain weak or consolidate. Zhuochuang Information believes that trading activity before the Spring Festival is gradually weakening, and the fluctuation range of pulp prices may narrow. Key focus should be on paper mills’ operating rates and post-holiday procurement intentions. (Zhuochuang Information)
