According to CCTV News, on February 11th local time, U.S. President Donald Trump posted on his social media platform “Truth Social” that he had just met with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and several of his representatives. Trump stated that the meeting was very successful and that the good relationship between the two countries has been maintained.

Trump said that no specific decisions were reached, but he insisted that negotiations with Iran should continue in hopes of reaching an agreement. Trump mentioned that he has informed Netanyahu that if an agreement can be reached, it would be their preferred option; if not, they will have to wait and see. Trump also expressed hope that Iran would be more rational and responsible this time. Additionally, both sides discussed the situation in Gaza and the broader region.

On the 11th local time, it was reported that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu conveyed to U.S. President Trump during his visit to the U.S. that any agreement with Iran must have no expiration date and must ensure that Iran can never acquire nuclear weapons.

On February 11th local time, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu met with U.S. President Trump. Before departing, Netanyahu stated that he would present the U.S. side with Israel’s so-called “principled stance” on Iran, emphasizing that these principles “are not only about Israel but also about all countries that hope for peace and security.”

During the approximately three-hour closed-door meeting, officials from Israel and the U.S. reported that both sides were “skeptical” about the possibility of reaching an agreement between the U.S. and Iran. The meeting aimed to develop a “joint action plan” in case negotiations between the U.S. and Iran fail to produce an agreement.

According to Xinhua News Agency, The Wall Street Journal reported on the 11th that the U.S. Department of Defense has instructed the second aircraft carrier strike group to prepare for deployment to the Middle East.

Citing U.S. officials, the report said that the Pentagon is preparing to deploy a second aircraft carrier to the Middle East, expected to depart from the U.S. East Coast in about two weeks. The carrier is the USS George H.W. Bush, currently conducting a series of training exercises off the coast of Virginia, which may accelerate the training schedule.

The report also mentioned that the deployment order could be issued “within a few hours,” but emphasized that U.S. President Trump has not yet officially ordered the deployment of a second aircraft carrier to the Middle East, and plans may be adjusted.

Currently, the U.S. Navy’s Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group is deployed in Middle Eastern waters. Trump told Axios News on the 10th that he is considering sending a second aircraft carrier strike group to the Middle East to prepare for military action if negotiations with Iran fail.

The last time the U.S. deployed “double carriers” in the Middle East was in April 2025, when the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group and the Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group launched large-scale airstrikes against Houthi forces in Yemen.
